ETC ARCADE
Augmented Reality Creative Annotation Drawing Environment — a multiplayer AR iOS app for drawing and creating objects in a physics-enabled virtual sandbox.
Overview
ARCADE (Augmented Reality Creative Annotation Drawing Environment) is a multiplayer AR iOS app developed at CMU ETC that lets users collaboratively draw and place 3D objects into their physical environment. The objects interact in a live physics simulation, turning any space into a shared creative sandbox.
My Role
Co-developed with John Balash, Meijie Hu, and Bryce Li at CMU ETC. Led the AR spatial anchor system, multiplayer networking, physics integration, and App Store deployment pipeline.
Key Features
- Collaborative AR drawing and object placement across multiple iOS devices
- Real-time physics simulation for placed objects
- Persistent spatial anchors using ARKit World Tracking
- Multiplayer synchronization over LAN/WiFi
