Robot Arm Simulator & Controller
Robot arm simulator apps that visualize and control 6-axis collaborative robot arms — including BCN3D Moveo (3D-printed) and MyCobotPi (Elephant Robotics).
Overview
A series of robot arm simulator and controller applications developed for the Southwestern PA BotsIQ program — educational tools that let students visualize and command 6-axis collaborative robot arms in real time before (and while) working with physical hardware.
Versions
- Robot Arm Controller (2020) — Unity app simulating and controlling a BCN3D Moveo 3D-printed 6-axis cobot arm
- MyCobotPi Simulator Controller (2023) — Web app hosted on a Raspberry Pi 4 server, visualizing and controlling a MyCobotPi from Elephant Robotics (with Yasser Nadeem and Olivia Lynn)
Key Features
- Real-time 3D forward/inverse kinematics visualization
- Direct hardware control via USB/serial or network
- Web-based interface (MyCobotPi version) for browser access from any device
- Used in BotsIQ educational cobot curriculum
